(86)Ivory, found on larger animals such as elephants, whales and hippos has been harvested and used as art forms as well as a handful of other creations for many centuries. In Heart of Darkness becomes somewhat of an obsession to members of the Company. Some of the men got so worked up in gaining Ivory that all other morals and sensibility was lost. Therefore, Conrad makes Ivory a representation of greed.
